LiKe Niagara Falls

The calling of the Lord fell over us like a ten ton truck. It started with my GEM when he was in his mommy's womb in the Dominican Republic. Now, the same thing transpired for me while I too, was in my mom's womb in the United States. Little did we know that God chose the day, month and year when our eyes would meet, first date would occur and especially when we'd say "I Do" ...

As time went on, the anointing hit us like Niagara Falls, filled with bricks instead of flowing water. Our Heavenly Father also blessed us with 4 wonderful sons and a Pastoral Ministry too. Two individuals were joined together as one, in every sense of the word. The Teaching and Preaching was birthed in two different locations and destined from above ...

By the grace of God, this Bible verse is definitely stamped in our hearts ...

Philippians 2:2 (ESV) Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

25 Yrs. Ago ~ Our Engagement

This is what I'm grateful for ... That 25 years ago today, my sweet  GEM & I got engaged! In God's House and in the presence of the congregation and siblings too. After that day, the Holy Ghost allowed vessels from far and near to reconfirm that our unity was and is ~ Destined from ABOVE ... Hallelujah :D

With this, I'd like to share with all of you the following: I LoVe the manner in which the Lord used and still uses my GEM to teach me the true meaning and feeling of laughter birthed through LoVe ... Thank you, Heavenly Father for blessing me with such a wonderful: husband, father, role model and especially A God Fearing Man ... Have Mercy :-)

Drop the Claws?

They come out for the most childish reasons ... Couples tend to wash their dirty laundry in public and when their spouses least expect it ... Alerting everyone in an unpleasant way, about  their personal business!

When a husband or wife display their sharp claws in public, it's because their trying to let out some past stream in an immature manner. We'd like to ask all of you 2 questions ...
  1. What do your kids, friends, neighbors and/or extended family think?
  2. Shouldn't personal issues be dealt with behind closed doors, instead of outdoors? You decide and please get back to us?
Now, we're not giving you the third degree, it's just something you should give some thought to ... For if this is the way you act when small marital issues pop up, then this only foretells how you'll deal with major  controversy in your marriage ...  Obviously you haven't taken this bible verse to heart yet ...

1 Thessalonians 5:22 ~ Abstain from every form of evil.

Because when you broadcast your marital business to the world, it seems as if you've forgotten about the above verse!

Was NEVER Pronounced,

Let's chat couples? Now back in days, the term divorce was NEVER pronounced in or out of the house. I'm not saying that husbands and wife's didn't argue from time to time ...

What I do recall is this, lots of issues were settled over a cup of coffee, a slice of cake, a little rolling of the eyes and at the end of the day or night, a loud I'm sorry so the neighbors could hear would be said, then the couple would kiss and make up, based on this ...

Ephesians 4:32 ~ Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Lord, we miss those good old days ...

Lord, we miss those good old days ...

Sipping Our Coffee

Photo: My Dominican Danish of a Husband & I are sitting at the kitchen table, discussing God's word, sipping our coffee and exchanging loving vibes ... While our 4 humorous sons are watching tv, playing video games, working on their computers and sending a few smiles our way from the living room ...

2013 is Looking Good,
My Dominican Danish of a husband and I(his Apple Pie) that's what my Hubby calls me, are sitting at the kitchen table, chatting about the Lord's word, sipping our coffee and exchanging loving vibes ...

While our 4 humorous sons are watching television, playing video games, selecting their classes for next semester on their computers and sending a few silly smiles our way from the living room ...

Oh yes, our 4 playful young men have been resting in their beds for some time  ...

Use them Prudently!

Styles may come and go; however the lines of communication should always be opened and respectful matter what. Let's discuss the different techniques regarding communication,  Shall we? Here's one aspect of dialogue that can hurt a couple or group ...

Ephesians 4:29 ~ Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Please don't compare talking over a person as a sign of communication. In our opinion, it's just a poor case of a lack self control and respect towards their spouse or others. Talking over each other also demonstrates that a power struggle is in the mists ... That being said, ponder this ...

Proverbs 10:19 ~ When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.

Finally, communication is a path towards a blissful relationship ... Thus, consider this ...

Proverbs 15:1 ~ A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.

Eat and Run,

Nowadays it's obvious how society has adapted to the lifestyle we call Eat and Run ... Everything is done like clock work, no time for families to BOND and couples may still be sleeping in the same beds; but they don't seem to communicate with each other like they used to.

That's why if you don't might and have some free time, we'd like to suggest this ... Set aside one night in the week; so that you can enjoy some one on one time with your spouse and kids too ... For the Prince of Peace offers you this ...

Proverbs 15:17 ~ Better to eat vegetables with people you love than to eat the finest meat where there is hate.
