My GEM & I were discussing everything known to man. The news, our 4 sons, television shows and oh yes, my hubby also suggested that I cut down on my coffee intake (no, caffeine doesn't affect me). ‪#‎Hehehe‬, Per contra, my Doctor of Love went to the supermarket and brought me a brand new tasty tea, with just the ingredients I was craving for. ‪#‎Sweet‬, I love my Honey Bun so much; because he knows how to touch my heart. Thank you Jesus Christ for this ...

As for my hubby & me, we're enjoying a well deserved coffee break, while gathering all our material; because in a few hours we're going to share God's word with the world on Youtube and other sites, too. Everything that we're about to do is centered around this concept ...

"My GEM"

Every time I look into his eyes, all I see is the love of the Lord in them. My husband has a forgiving heart, cute silent romantic pauses, surprising strong hugs and caring ogling looks, that only remind me why I said "I Do" 26 1/2 years ago ...

I'm so GRATEFUL to God, because every word that comes out of my Honey Bun's mouth is full of life lessons, love and respect ...  #Sweet. The heavenly part about our marriage is that whenever we sit down in our favorite spot at home (the kitchen) we love to chat about our 4 playful Diamond sons, life and don't laugh (politics). We sound like 2 love birds, chirping away about how blessed we are to have met 27 1/2 years ago, in that Holy Ghost filled Church ...

 

Life offers each couple something new, difficult in a sense; but key to bringing a husband and wife closer together. That's an essential factor during this time of the year, where these loving individuals  need to focus more their attention on why their together, instead of what their spouse is going to give them for Christmas ... Henceforth, why don't you add this to your Christmas list and you'll see how merry both of you will feel? 

 

Colossians 3:14 (NCV) - Even more than all this, clothe yourself in love. Love is what holds you all together in perfect unity.

 

Here's our Christmas present to all of you couples that are on the verge of separation or divorce, and it goes like this, "don't continue to remind each other about your past mistakes and why not take some time to reminisce on the first time you two meet and finally why you two fell in love ... #ReadySetGo!

Our Sunday "To Do List"

Psalm 119:147 (ERV) - I get up early in the morning to pray to you. I trust what you say.

 

After my GEM & I conclude our early bird prayer session with the Lord, my hubby prepares one of his tasty Dominican breakfast (his coffee is out of this world) ‪#‎Hehehe‬, and I say this in a loving way. Then we'd sit on the kitchen table and study God's word, now the last thing on our morning to do list is going to the studio, taping our teaching and preaching video for God's glory ...

 

You see, not everyone is physically or emotionally fit or able to go to church, thus we do the next best thing, we take the message into their homes and pray so that their chains are broken, healing of some sort is received and one day they'll able to congregate at a neighborhood Church (that focusses it's message upon the Gospel of Jesus Christ) ...

 

Our goal is to always obey what the Bible says and share it with the world ... Now, off to Church ...

Our Time Together

Our 4 loving sons have gone to bed, because tomorrow their going to partake of a fun, busy and pre-Thanksgiving event. While my GEM & I are sitting at the kitchen table, delighting in our book club, sharing our points of views about what we've read and that sweet cup of coffee (thanks to my hubby) ... NEVER, stopping from praising the Lord; because He's taught us how to turn our book club into our own romantic safe haven, between 2 people in love ...

About a few days ago, my GEM & I received some unexpected news. Now, the flesh wanted us to fuse, go nuts and/or ask God "Oh Why Us"? On the contrary, we sat down at the kitchen table, weighted the pro's and con's to what the letter was telling us ...

 

Then the Holy Ghost reassured us that God was in totally control of the situation at hand, therefore we should remember this ...

 

Matthew 19:26 (HCSB) - But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Good Morning Everyone

My GEM & I just finished 2 of the most interesting books and we wanted to share our point of view with all of you ... Now, my hubby sunk his teeth into a book called The Rich and the Rest of US - A POVERTY MANIFESTO, By Tavis SMILEY + Cornel WEST. This book discusses how 150 million poor and near the poverty rate people/families are living. Not because they wish to; it's based on the damage brought upon due to the Great Recession. The 2 authors share stories and events that will leave you speechless ... It's good to read about how other people are handling the sky rocket rate of an unfair and raising economy ...

As for me, I savored a called Joy Breaks for Couples - Devotions to Celebrate Marriage, By Dr. Larry & Rachael, Paul & Nicole Johnson, Dr. Kevin Leman, Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott, Gary Smalley, Becky & Roger Tirabassi Dr. Neil Clark Warren. The information and testimonies bring tears to the readers eyes and wisdom to the couples that don't really value the gift from God called marriage ...

My Dominican Danish & I are avid readers, no matter how hot, cold or whether we're feeling under the weather, studying the bible and reading other books is another marital activity we share as a couple and our 4 studies sons have also joined our book club, too ... #HaLLeLuJaH,

Oh Yes, Anniversary #26

On this day, 26 years ago, my GEM & I exchanged our vows in front of God, the congregation, family, friends and the community, too ... This is one of the happiest milestones in our life's ... During these 26 blissful years, my hubby & I have totally enjoyed each others company in more ways than one ...

Thank you Heavenly Matchmaker for telling me in Church 27 1/2 ago to turn around because you had a long awaited gift for me ... I'm so glad I did, because NOW & ALWAYS I'm blessed with a loving husband, a positive roll model for our 4 Diamonds sons and the man that makes my hearts beat 100 mph every time I see him or hear his sweet, strong and Dominican voice ... #HaveMercy, Ladies & gentlemen, WAIT on the Lord and you'll see how BLESSED married life is ... #SweetJesusLove,

Concur with Us?

God has placed in my husband's and my heart to lift up a prayer for all those women and men that are being physically, mentally and financially abused by the woman or man that one day said these words to them  "I Love You" and "I Do" ... Whether those words were pronounced in a Church, at City Hall or during an intimate backyard ceremony, that still doesn't give them the right to hit you  ... 

 

Furthermore, those live in boyfriends or girlfriends that don't believe in the word commitment or help pay any bills; but dare to put their hands on you because they can't handle certain issues in a mature manner, truly need help! For their definition of love is misguided and if you don't open your eyes, one day a coroner will be called to your home. One quick question, if you have children with this person that obtains pleasure in beating you, what will happen to those sweet babies that are viewing "ALL" of this? Set aside your desires and think about them? Perhaps, what we're saying sounds harsh; but we've seen it numerous times and it ALWAYS ends in a tragic way. Ponder this, there are 2 people in a relationship and one of them don't wish or know how to comprehend the concept of dealing with anger, confusion and/or low self esteem in a calmer fashion  ...

 

In conclusion, you deserve better, therefore please STOP making excuses for that individual or blaming yourself for the way she or he is treating you and seek help for yourself, and maybe the abuser will do the same. On account of this is what the bible says regarding this particular situation ...

 

Colossians 3:19 (NIV) - Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

2 Blissful Events

Today, at the Advincola home, 2 wonderful events are being celebrated. The love of my life, the man that Jesus Christ allowed me to set my eyes on for the 1st. at Church is celebrating his "Birthday" ... I'm going to be honest, every year my GEM looks, sounds and cooks better and better ... When it comes to surprising our 4 Diamond sons or me with something tremendous, my Dominican Danish is always the man with a foolproof ... #HaLLeLuJaH, However, today our 4 loving sons left their Papi speechless; because they purchased a Monoprice(Route 66) Guitar for their father & me ... #Hehehe, I say the guitar is for both of us; because when my Honey Bun gets into his "Serenading Romantic Moods" then I'm the only that truly benefits from it ... #HaveMercy,

In addition, my GEM & I are Praising God, LOUD, proud and with a dinner that's going to cold our tummies with lots of sweet love; because 26 years ago today my hubby & I were wed at City Hall ... That's right, 26 years of trails, tribulations(not with each other) but with a people that don't believe in the true definition of the institute of the word "Marriage". In our book and heart, the word marriage means "TiL Death due You Part ... Thank you Gracious God because you knew that I didn't know the true meaning of a heartfelt chuckle until you introduced me to the man I call today my GEM, husband, soul-mate, father of our 4 handsome sons and a unique Christian man that glorifies your name where ever he goes ... I Love this Dominican Man, our 4 sons call Island Boy ... This is us 26 years ago ... #HaLLeLuJaH,

Our Coffee Break

Second, you should ask the Lord to teach you how to listen more before you rush into drawing unnecessary conclusions that can create more wounds, instead of healing them and the bible also shares this, too  ...

What a Bombshell

 

 I had the such an emotional Thursday ... Our 3 Diamonds sons went to school(college) as usually, while Esteban #3 had an appointment at the  optometrist and my GEM accompanied him. However little did I know that my GEM and our 4 sweet sons had such a bombshell in store for me ...

You see, a few years ago my engagement and our wedding bands were stolen and we never found out who took them. Time went by, unexpected monetary events transpired, but my hubby ALWAYS told me that the day I least expect, he'd propose to me, just like the 1st. time ...

At about 9:00 p.m., my GEM of 25 1/2 years of martial bliss, called our 4 secretive sons into the kitchen, asked me to turn around, close my eyes and when everyone was ready, my husband Carlos R. Advincola, Sr. told me to turn around and when I did, he was on one knee and asked me to marry him again ... I've NEVER cried so much(in a gleeful) way and then our 4 Soldiers of Christ surrounded both of us with hugs, kisses and pictures, too ...

What I'm about to say comes from the depths of my heart and here is goes ... "Thank you Jesus for blessing me with such a loving husband and 4 amazing sons ...  #HaLLeLuJaH,

Dismiss, the Petty Rationalization

Marriage isn't interpreted by how many debates a spouse wins, nor by the duration of a husband(man) or wife's(woman) lies ... Marriage is the joining of two hearts till death due they part ... #WeDo,

On the grounds that the bible states this ...

 

Genesis 2:24 (NKJV) -Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

 

On that note, when you and your soul-mate have a misunderstanding of some sort(because you will because it's part of marital life), don't go insane and throw your husband/wife's clothing out the window, lock them out of the house and/or burn something that they value, in order to get back at them. Just try to relax, put yourself in their shoes and remember this too ...
